Halloween 2018

Happy Halloween!   Or as I like to call it, Sewing Superbowl! This is the day to show off your skills! This year I am going as Ms. Frizzle from the classic 90’s PBS tv show, Magic School Bus! I found the fabric way back in July on a pre-order from Peek-a-boo Fabric Shop.  It’s really

Dashing Dress

I feel so cute and down right scholarly in this dress! This is the new, updated Dashing Dress from Ellie and Mac. New in the update, a circle skirt option! I used a purple and black plaid ponte from The Fab Clique Fabric Shoppe.  I like using ponte to dress up any pattern for business.

Roxanne Sweater

I’m excited about this pattern because it’s so different! The Roxanne from 5oo4 is a fancy back sweater.  The pattern comes with opens for a snap back or a lace up back using grommets. I used a purple camo sweater knit from The Fab Clique Shoppe.  This fabric is a super soft brushed sweater knit

Favorite Sweater

The favorite sweater from Ellie and Mac is my new favorite sweater! It’s got such a cute off the shoulder and can be worn two ways.  There’s the nice big cowl that feels so cozy for Fall and then there’s the more sophisticated banded top version. This one makes me feel like I’m saying “You

Bourbon Street

I’ve been seeing these high-low skirts pop up at work and they’re so cute. I’m glad to finally have one and boy did it get a lot of attention the day I wore it!   The Bourbon Street skirt from New Horizons  has so many options. I did the high-low and the maxi.  There’s also a

New Orleans

This might be the most flattering tee shirt ever! It’s the New Orleans from New Horizons. It fits so well without any adjustment.  That’s one of my favorite things about New Horizons.  I’ve tested the Cascade, the Joggers, the Bourbon Skirt and they all fit and flatter without modification.
